KINGSTON STAKEHOLDERS
" creatively enhancing the business and economic climate of our community"
The Kingston Stakeholders was established in 2005 as a division of the Kingston Chamber of Commerce. Primarily composed of Kingston property owners, our common bond is the cohesive development of downtown Kingston. The Stakeholders look for ways to help each other using shared experiences, contacts and resources. The Stakeholders are a diverse group of citizens who are motivated and encouraged by each other to invest hard work, creative vision, and finances into a viable future for all the citizens of greater Kingston.

Commercial Insurance - Best way to insure your project - Packages and Wraps
Permitting - What is the process and what can you expect from Kitsap County
More Benefits of Membership:
Networking - Resources within our group are vast and invaluable
Talk into Action - What do we want in our town? How do we get it?
First to Know - Information about current and future projects: Status Updates
Direct Contact with Political Entities - Accessibility to policy makers
Some of our guests at weekly meetings have included:
Jay Inslee, US Representative Phil Rockefeller, State Senator Christine Rolfes, State Legislator Chris Endreson, Kitsap County Commissioner Pete DeBoer and Tom Coultas, Port of Kingston Commissioners
Since 1991 there have been a set of written "guidelines" to which every potential development project must refer. Some of the original members of the team of citizens who wrote these guidelines are members of the Kingston Stakeholders. The Department of Community Development - Kitsap County - refers to these guidelines when reviewing future project documents during the permitting process.
Promote Understanding of the Process of Development & Community Needs
Through communicating and sharing with each other Stakeholders hope to eliminate pitfalls and struggle in the development of our individual projects. Shared information in market studies and plans already underway will create a mixed use core that is in balance and scale structurally, yet acknowledges the needs of the community:
"Embrace livability and bring business to town!"
